What Causes Sore Neck?

Hi my name is kannan for the past couple of days the right side of my neck had beeen very sore when i press down on it, i read online that it could be lymph nodes however i have not had any cold symptons, and i have no pain when i swallow. could you help me out?

Hi welcome to HCM....

Here you have right side neck soreness and tenderness present ...

So it could be pharyngitis like posterior pharyngeal wall infection or it could be tonsil itis.....

Your posterior pharynx examination should be done ....

If needed suitable antibiotic can given if needed ....

Salt water gargle done ...

Excess spicy food avoided ....

More water ....

Short term steroid useful for relieving inflammatory swelling ....

Lymph nodes also palpated and CRP done ....

Consult Ent surgeon nearby for physical examination....
