What Causes Sore, Red Spots On Roof Of Mouth?

28 y/o F, have red, sore spots on the roof of my mouth towards the back, I also have red sore spots on my bottom inner gums where my wisdom teeth would be. The outer edge on the left and right side of my tongue is also sore but not red like the places described above. I have no sore throat and am not feeling bad. My mouth pretty much just hurts.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

Your symptoms seem to be related to canker sores.
They are usually harmless and should go away on their own.
I suggest using anti inflammatory medications such as Tylenol to relieve the pain.
I also suggest to apply ice to your canker sores by allowing ice chips to slowly dissolve over the sores.

Hope my answer was helpful.

If you have further queries feel free to contact me again.

Kind regards!
