Im a 25 year old suffering with throat pain (not that it is very painful) however im a regular smoker and have found that everytime i smoke lots a particular week or day,i seem to have sore throat n pain towards the ear as well,I seem to have a reddened area towards the right side of the throat as compared to the left, where the pain is.
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain sore throat after smoking and more specifically after smoking in excess seems to be due to inflammation and irritation in throat caused due to cigarette smoke and chemical particles present in smoke.. I would suggest you to limit smoking and gradually quit smoking as it is harmful not only to throat but can cause fatal illness like Lung Cancer.. In case if you have a sore throat you can take anti inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen.. Do warm saline gargles 3 to 4 times a day.. Avoid spicy and hard foods.. Drink plenty of water as it will reduce inflammation and swelling.. For quitting smoking Nicotine replacement therapy like Nicotine Patches, chewing gums etc can help..
Hope this information helps..
