What Causes Sore Throat Along With Body Ache?

I have a very sore throat which is red, swollen and sore. My body has been aching and problems with headaches and stomach aches including some diahria. By live in Boyfriend has been dx with bronchitis. I am not sure if I should go to doctor or not. What do you think?

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have sore throat along with body ache . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like sinusitis , strep throat , viral pharyngitis and post nasal drip . Take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain , you need to take antibiotics to get rid of the infection . Infection and fever is also reason for night body pain , other reasons can also be there like hyperthroidism and hormonal changes . I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper examination . Doctor may order throat swab test , viral culture test , blood test and CT scan to confirm the diagnosis . Doctor may prescribe antibacterial or antiviral depending upon the diagnosis along with decongestant and expectorant . For now take steam and do warm saline gargles .
