What Causes Sore Throat Along With Chest Congestion And Breathing Difficulty?
Hi, Im a 53 Yo, typically healthy female with severe sore throat, chest congestion, difficulty taking in deep breath. Non productive cough with throat pain. No nasal congestion. raspy voice. headaches. What may I possibly have? Should I be on antibiotics? Does not seem like head cold.. more of a deeper chest infection. Only cough with swallowing and deep intake of breath. thanks.
Hello, Its a respiratory tract infection involving both upper and lower tract. You should have antibiotics for this. You should have Tab Azithromycin 500 mg once a day along with some antacid like tab pantoprazole 40 mg beforebreakfast once a day for five days. Also, have betadine gargles four times a day. For cough, you have syr Alex 2 teaspoon whenever needed upto three times a day. Avoid cold food items. Hope this helps you and get back if you have any doubts.
