What Causes Sore Throat Along With Chills And Nasal Congestion?

I had a sore throat and chills, but have now subsided. I currently have nasal congestion, and a cough. The cough is made worse after going out in the cold or moving around. Not really an issue when just sitting around. Also, the cough often starts with wheezing from inhaling/exhaling. Is it likely I have a common cold/flu? Or is it likely something else?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello! Welcome to HealthcareMagic!

I understand your concern.
Your symptoms seems to be related to an upper respiratory tract infection.
Some advice that I can give you are:

1) Use non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs such as Ibuprofen (Motrin, Advil) for body aches and fever.
2) Use throat spray for disinfection.
3) Use nasal saline sprays.
4) Drink liquids.
5) Have some rest.

Hope that my answer was helpful. Thank you for the query.

Take care
