What Causes Sore Throat Along With Ear Pain And Head Pressure?
sore throat on one (my right) side of throat. Tonsil looks a little larger than other, not overly red. Pain in my ears as if I was flying. Entire head feels pressure. Lethargic last couple of days. Have not felt feverish but did take my temp, it was normal. Experiencing some drainage but not a lot. I take a daily allergy pill (Zyrtec) and started my fluticasone propionate nasal spray yesterday.
First of all, it's sad to know what you had been going through lately.
Based on the history you have shared, it seems it be acute upper respiratory tract infection and may need a course of antibiotics like azithromycin or Moxifloxacin alongside antihistamines like Cetirizine or Loratadine.
Nasal decongestant May also help. If symptoms persist, ENT specialist review may be needed.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
