What Causes Sore Throat Along With Fatigue And Swollen Lymph Nodes?

Hi I have had a soar throat for about 5 months, following with fatigue. I can sleep for hours. I also have swollen lymph node on the right side of my neck/throat and a swollen lymph node on my right collar bone. The one on my neck is tender . I have seen my doctor and she has referred me to biopsy surgery, what are my risks that I have lymphoma cancer?

Hi,

Your concern is very right, enlarged nodes may be caused by lymphoma but they are caused more commonly by other causes like infection, autoimmune disease like SLE etc.

So to be honest there are chances of this being lymphoma , but there are more chances of it being not .

Whatever biopsy is always the best answer in such cases.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
