What Causes Sore Throat Along With Itching In The Eyes?
Hello, I have had sore throat and cough for a few weeks, was improving until yesterday. This morning woke up with itchy red eyes which I assume is conjunctivitis as it is going around. But I also have swollen cheek/jaw next to and slightly below my lips. Could these all be related?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of sore throat along with itching in the eyes which is because of viral infection and poor and compromised immunity of body. I would advise you to do tepid sponging to avoid high fever. Visit ENT specialist once and get complete examination done. Go for blood tests and sputum test as well. Do warm saline gargles on daily basis and drink plenty of fluids. Maintain proper oral hygiene. Take proper antiviral course and anti-inflammatory drugs such as Sinarest as well. Take diet rich in vitamin B12 to booster immunity. Avoid cold beverages eat fresh fruits and vegetables.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
