What Causes Sore Throat Along With Soreness On The Tongue?
Hi, I had a sore throat about 2 1/2 weeks ago, it was sore on the soft palete and not in the back. the soreness moved to my tongue and then i had a bunch of sores all around the edge of my tongue. The sores are gone but my tongue is still sore.and burning feeling and my throat just a little. thoughts?
Soreness of tongue is secondary to throat infection and it is commonly seen that infection in throat can cause inflammation and soreness inside mouth along with mouth ulcers..
As the sores have subsided, it is a sign of healing, so my suggestion is to just relax and follow the following remedies for faster relief..
You should do warm saline gargles and non-alcoholic antiseptic mouthwash. You should take Vitamin B complex and lysine supplements. You should suck ice pops and do cool water rinses..
In case if there is no improvement, you should consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and if needed an oral and throat swab culture can be done..
Hope this helps..
Regards.
