Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Sore Throat Along With Swollen Lymph Nodes And Low Grade Fever?
Can ars begin 10 1/2 weeks after exposure and last for 9+ weeks. 4th gen test neg at 14 days. Waiting on newer test results. Symptoms were sore throat, swollen lymph nodes, low fever and fatigue. 9 weeks later and lymph nodes less swollen but hurt and fatigue continues. Partner is not known to be HIV + and is in low risk group.
As per my clinical experience, there can be reasons of swollen lymph nodes with low grade fever as: - Low immune response - Defective functioning of T and B cells - Low hemoglobin - Persistent primary infection - Secondary flare of viral or bacterial infection - HIV - Use of immune suppressants
A sequential evaluation with HIV rapid test will rule out its possibilities.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Take care.
Regards, Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
