Hello,
Ideally,
oral sex is not a risk for STD if the partner is not infected with STD.
But if you have it with a sex worker, it may be risky if she is infected with STD & you have some
bruise or cut in your lips, mouth or any portion of the oral area.
Although the risk of transmission of STI is comparatively lower than in genital sex, yet presence of sores increases the risk.
Canker sores can also occur due to food sensitiveness, allergies, acidic (citrus food) or
stress. However, you are suggested to see a GP & get your oral canker sores get clinically examined.
Your treating doctor will assess the oral canker & infection related with
sore throat and will screen you for STD. You will be given PEP if needed. Always perform safe sex and avoid multiple partners.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
