Hello. My son has had hand foot mouth disease with bumps that showed up last monday. 7 Days later (this monday) I started to have a sore throat. Today I am in a ton of pain. It feels very dry, sore, decreasing my appetite. I also have an upset stomach (diarrhea) . My body feels heavy and tired.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

It could be due to an infective agent that affects your throat and gastrointestinal tract for causing you diarrhea.

So what you do is:
• Take plenty of fluid like oral rehydration therapy
• Take a soft diet that is digestible
• Take an antibiotic course, most suitable is Amoxil and do saline gargle also
• Take some multivitamins as an appetizer and as a supplement

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ruby
