What Causes Sore Throat And Bleeding In The Mouth?

My daughter has complained of a sore throat. Through out the day she would have a blood fill her mouth. This was not accompanied by a cough. She would open her mouth and it would be full of blood. She complained about a sore throat "stabbing pain" when it occured. She is negative for strep with no signs of inflammation in her mouth or throat.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

As per your query you have symptoms of sore throat and bleeding in the mouth which is due to inflammation of tonsils and it could be due to dental infection present in mouth. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to take throat lozenges and do warm saline gargles.

Avoid oily and sharp food. Drink plenty of fluids. You should take warm water sip by sip. You should take antibiotic Levofloxacin in combination with anti-allergic medication Levocetirizine. Visit ENT specialist once and get it examined. You should get blood and throat swab test done and get it examined. Start treatment after proper prescription.
