What Causes Sore Throat And Burning Sensation In The Rib Cage?
Hello, Im really worried Ive been having a sore throat for 3 days now thats how it started but now it progressed to burning sensation that starts right from below my rib cage down to the end of my stomach like a vertical line between those .. i also am coughing .. wasnt sure if i have to mention that iam a college student staying in dorms so i eat microwave heated food on daily basis .. thank u plz reply soon
It seems to be viral pharyngitis along with gastritis. Your work-up done as follows: • CBC • Throat swab or ASO titer to rule out bacterial pharyngitis • Auscultation • If needed chest x-ray
For few days, try to avoid spicy foods and fatty meals. Salt water gargle done with warm water 3 times in a day. Take 1 tsp turmeric powder with milk daily. Vitamin C lozenges useful. Drink lots of water. If improvement not seen and seems bacterial as per report antibiotic course can be given. For gastritis Rabeprazole tablet for week can be given. Consult physician for examination and discuss all these.
