What Causes Sore Throat And Cough After A Spigelian Hernia Surgery?
I had surgery for a spigillian hernia 2 days ago. I had a mesh inserted. Because a breathing tube was inserted in my throat during surgery, I have a sore throat and a slight cough. I have had only discomfort--no serious pain unless I cough. Then the pain is unbearable. I am scared that coughing may push hernia out again.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Symptomatic treatment is required and it will be alright. Take Benadryl cough sedative, warm saline gargling can be done. Take tab Erythrocin. Avoid pressure on hernia and can apply pressure bandage over hernia.
