Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a very sore throat and phlegm which causes coughing. I have coughed so much today that I have a little spot of blood every now and then. It is in the neck and not the chest. I had a chest xray and it was clear and diagnosed as allergy. What can I do to stop this. Amount of blood is very minimal and sometimes pleghm is pure white but cause me to constantly have to cough it out.

Hello, In my opinion the persistent cough may be due to allergy or reflux. It is advisable to take antacids along with antiallergics for 7-10 days to have relief.
