i had my rabipur and twinrix boosters this week and have since developed a sore throat which hurts even to swallow liquids let alone food, and a mucussy cough. are these side effects to the jabs? or something taking advantage of immunosuppression? what should i take/do?
It is not required to your anti rabies vaccine. Simple respiratory tract infection or sore throat will be a possible cause. As of now you can take over the counter available analgesics like paracetamol for symptomatic relief. If symptoms persists or worsen it will be better to consult a physician and start on a short course of antibiotics. Do warm saline gargles for for symptomatic relief.
