What Causes Sore Throat And Difficulty Swallowing Post Flu Treatment?

My doctor diagnosed me with the flu last week but said he thought I had an infection going on, too. Finished ZPac 3 days ago. Symptoms with flu - 103 fever, cough, aches, itchy throat and ears. For the past 3 days my sore throat has gotten worse to the point it feels like it s cracking first thing in the morning. Swallowing is very difficult. My tongue now is starting to feel strange almost like it s had a burn. Drinking plenty of water. less than 1 degree fever now. Is this still flu or something else?

HI
Well come to HCM
Of course this could be flu infection but other symptom like swallowing difficulty may be due to acid secretion and this may be GERD, (Gastroesophageal reflex disease) and this can be best managed with the medicines given bellow,
1) Tab Omeprazole 40 mg once in day
2) Tab Domperidone 30 mg once in day
eat more alkali food, avoid smoking, alcohol prior to bed, hope this information helps, take care.
