What Causes Sore Throat And Ears Along With Diarrhea Post Keppra Intake?

my daughter age 48 has just started taking keppra for smallish seizures that have been occurring. It is now 2 days and she has had 5 tablets, 1 twice daily. Today she has wo0ken up with very sore throat, sore ears, her glands are up under her ears. She has had diahorrea and has sore muscles. Can you help please. At first she slurred her words but that seems to have gone but she is a little dizzy

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of sore throat and ears along with diarrhea post Keppra intake . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like strep throat , viral pharyngitis , acid reflux or side effects Keppra. I would suggest you to do warm saline gargles , take steam twice a days , eat healthy , avoid spicy and heavy food. Consult ENT specialist for proper examination . Doctor may order throat swab test along wirth viral culture test . Doctor may also refer you to gastroenterologist for acid reflux. If condition doesn't get well , then consult doctor who prescribe Keppra . Doctor may alter the dose or prescribe substitute .
