What Causes Sore Throat And Fatigue Along With Swollen Lymph Nodes?

Hi, a 3 weeks ago I received analingus and unprotected fellatio from another male (I am male.) Now, I have a cold, symptoms being: sore throat, fatigue, swollen lymph nodes. I am wondering what my chances are of contracting HIV? From what I have read, there should be a negligible chance, but this illness and timeframe has me worried. Thanks.

Hello,

It may be due to tonsillitis.

For further assessment you may require complete hemogram, throat swab after physician consultation.

Till then continue Saline or Betadine gargles twice a day.

Take steam inhalation.

You may require antibiotics after consultation.

Maintain proper hygiene and keep your self hydrated

Hope I have answered your query..
