What Causes Sore Throat And Headache During 30 Weeks Of Pregnancy?
I m 30 weeks pregnant and after coming home yesterday from an exhausting road trip, I have felt some flu-like symptoms (mild fever, sore throat, headache and exhaustion) and my eyes are both completely dilated. I checked my blood pressure and it s normal, but family have commented that I look pale. Should I wait it out and look for any other symptoms or is this something I should check out immediately?
It may be due to sore throat. For further assessment you may require complete hemogram, throat swab after ENT consultation. Continue saline or betadine gargles twice a day. Continue steam inhalation. In case of fever you may require antibiotics after consultation. Take hygienic food and water.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Shyam B. Kale, General & Family Physician
