What Causes Sore Throat And Losing The Voice?

I have had a persistent cough for over 3 years now. I have been to my doctors who has referred me for an x-tray but nothing came up. However, whenever I get a sore throat I end up losing my voice not completely but to a whisper. I have also had moments of feeling dizzy and again when I go t the doctors they have said that there is nothing wrong with my ears. I know that your ear, nose and throat are connect so should I go back again?

Hello,

It may be due to laryngitis.

For that you may require antibiotics after ENT consultation.

For further assessment you may require complete hemogram, throat swab after consultation.

Continue saline or betadine gargles twice a day.

Take hygienic food and water.

Hope I have answered your query...
Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
