I've had a cold for about a week and a half now, a couple days ago I got a pretty bad sore throat that won't seem to go away. It hurts when I swallow or cough. Yesterday I got a fever of 101.5, body aches, a feeling of weakness, very slight nausea and a slight headache throughout my head. I took some normal daytime cold&flu medicine and most of my symptoms went away at about 5 this morning. Now all that is left is some body aches (more painful in my neck), a very slight weakness, and that stupid sore throat that won't go away. Any ideas of what might be going on, and what I should do about it? I'm a 17 year old girl, 5'3, about 140 pounds, no known allergies and no major medical problems. The biggest thing would be that I had whooping cough for about a year my Freshmen year of High school, I'm now a senior. And a possible case of mono around the same time but it showed no symptoms so they are not sure.
