What Causes Sore Throat And Raised Veins On The Inner Cheeks?
i woke up this morning with a pretty bad sore throat. i stayed home, flexed, and didn't talk so no strain would be caused on my throat. this evening i felt the inside of my cheeks and there is a raised white vain-type thing on both sides. i have never had this and would like to know what it is
As per your complain raised white veiny structure on both sides of the inner cheeks seems to be most probably Linea alba that is commonly present bilaterally on inner cheeks and is due to excess keratin accumulation in that area..
It occurs due to friction, sucking pressure or trauma like cheek bite on the inner cheeks and occurs in a lone at the biting plane of both upper and lower teeth..
It does not seems to be anything serious or related to throat infection..
I would suggest you to consult an Oral Physician and get it clinically evaluated for confirmation of the same..
For a better discussion with me on this forum you can ask me a direct query by mentioning my name with your question where you can even upload images of the lesion and I will advise you more appropriately..
Hope this helps..
Regards..
