What Causes Sore Throat And Soft Mass On Jaw Bone?

hi, i am a 27 year old caucasion male with no serious health issues. I recntly had bad neck pain and after feeling it i have developed what seems to be a soft mass under my right jaw bone. i can roll it on the jaw bone but when i let go it goes back underneath. I have a sore throat and now i feel an identical mass under my left side and no i cal feel it without touching it. i went to the ER and the doctor could not feel anything and my white blood cell count came back normal. Whats the chances its cancer

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns...

As per your complain as you have a sore throat it seems to be due to infection in throat which can be bacterial or viral in nature and infection in throat can lead to swollen lymph nodes under the jaw leading to Reactionary Lymphadenitis..
This is not an indication of cancer and you need not to worry as it will resolve gradually once the throat infection will improve..
You can take a course of antibiotics like Azithromycin, painkillers like Tylenol and do warm saline gargles.
Do cold compresses over the lymph nodes..
In case if they do not show signs of improvement in one month a Biopsy /FNAC can be done to confirm the cause..
