What Causes Sore Throat And Swelling In The Throat Be Treated?
A week ago, I ate a piece of chicken and felt like Ismall bone was stuck in my throat. I felt like it went down but still a feeling as if it was still there. My throat has felt sore and a bit tight like it was swollen. I m in the E.R. and they gave me a cat scan and said it s normal. I still feel pain so should I get an xray to be absolutely sure nothing is there?
I had gone through your question I can understand your concern about your sore throat.
As per your history and post investigation it seems to me that you may have a traumatic ulcer in your throat. If you have an erosion which is acting like a foreign body and you feel it, you need to trust your doctor and it will heal within a week or two.
For your satisfaction you can go for an x ray but in my opinion there is no need to do so.
Hope my answer will help you and visit us back if you have any questions further to be asked.
Regards Dr Muzaffer Hussain Parray.
