What Causes Sore Throat And Swollen Lymph Nodes?

I have a very sore throat. My glands are enlarged and one side of my neck hurts all the way up to my ear. I ve big white spots an the back of my throat and the left side is really swollen. I feel like I ache all over. I also have a head ache. And I can t swallow anything. Do you think I have tonsillitis ? I ve already had tonsillitis 2 times this year

I can understand your concern. From the description you have given, it seems that you indeed are suffering from tonsillitis.

I would advise you to start antibiotics. You can take Azithromycin 500 mg (Azee) once a day for 3 days. You can take painkiller such as Ibuprofen 400 mg and over the counter available decongestants for relief in symptoms. It will also give relief in fever that you might be suffering from due to infection. The headache and pain in ear might be referred pain due to the infection.

As you have had this infection twice before in the current year, I would advise you to consult an ENT specialist to discuss if you need removal of tonsils by surgical procedure for permanent relief from the infection.
