Hi Dr. Andrew! My daughter is 4 years and 2 month old. She has had a sore throat for the past six weeks. She never had a sore thoat before. She was seen a pediatritian first time, pediatritian performend an exam, did a rapid strep test, came negative. We went home. 4 weeks later my daughter was seen again, a swab from her thoat was taken for strep, came back negative. My daughter still has a sore throat that does not go away, it is accompanied by vomiting from time to time. Sore throat appears only in the morning and is more severe in the evening. Lately she wakes up at nighrt with a sore throat, vomits, it brings her relief, cryes for a bit and fall asleep again. Visually the throat is miledly red, no red spots at the back, no puss discharge. She had fever for 2 days 1.5 weeks ago. She is active during the day. What is the diagnosis? Please help.
