What Causes Sore Throat, Blocked Nose And Shivering?

Hi last night i started to get the flu having a sore throat and blocked nose also my body aches everywhere. Then in the night i started shaking as if i was freezing no matter how many blanckets i put on. What is wrong with me? I have tried by taking ibprofen every 4-5 hours sinse yesterday but doesnt seem to help.

You more than likely have a viral infection.

The freezing is chills which occur along with a fever. Fever with chills.

Though it is natural to want to bundle up when these chills occur, you are actually raising your temperature, worsening the fever.

You need to bring your temperature down. Using the ibuprofen is fine (consider combining with paracetamol), you should consider wiping down or taking a bath with tepid water and after wear as little as possible to help reduce body heat.

A decongestant would help with the blocked nose and the medication for the fever should help the sore throat.
If a cough occurs then cough medication is also available over the counter.
