What Causes Sore Throat, Cold And Itchy Rashes All Over The Body?
I had a sore throat and mild cold on Saturday and Sunday morning. Tuesday evening, I developed a red lumpy itchy rash on my chest that quickly spread to my whole body. It is a large continuous patch on my chest and stomach and spotty on other parts. Yesterday my GP thought initially it was a strep throat with exema but she consulted a colleague and they decided it was hives. Prescribed antihistamine made no difference in the last 24 hours. I have had 3 incidences staff infections this year.

You need to see your doctor again preferably dermatologist if this rash is due to streptococcal infection or due to any viral infection. Yes it could be hives and it might be due to some allergic reaction to some drug or any insect bite.
