What Causes Sore Throat Despite Taking Antibiotics?

I have seen an ENT for LPR and inflammation of my throat/voice box from inhalers for asthma. Dr. put me on Nystatin swish and swallow for 3 days, and Nexium/Protonix in morning and Zantac/Ranitidine in evening before bedtime. I had laryngitis 3 weeks ago, that turned into sinus infection. Sore throat still persists. What is wrong with me?

I really appreciate your concern, throat allergic condition is most likely than the infection and if it so then it may take some time and it may not even needed any treatment, if the symptoms persist then swab culture of throat is necessary, wise rest is also good for controlling the symptoms hope this information helps.
