What Causes Sore Throat, Ear And Jaw Pain, Nausea And Runny Nose?
My colds (one a year) usually begin with a horrible sore throat that lasts about 48 hrs, a gaggy throat accompanied by bouts of nausea and transitions into a runny nose with lots of phlegm. My sinuses, ears, teeth ache as well. What should I take for the symptoms?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of sore throat, ear and jaw pain, nausea and runny nose which seems to be due to upper respiratory tract infection. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to visit ENT specialist once and get it examined. You should go for throat swab test and get blood tests done and start treatment after proper diagnosis. You should do warm saline gargles. You should take steam inhalation. You should take antiallergic medication such as Levocetirizine. Take proper course of antibiotic along with mucolytic agents. You should avoid taking outside food and cold carbonated beverages. You should take plenty of fluids.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
