Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
i have had shivers and sweat symptoms for the past 36 hours. My temperature goes up and down. I dont feel hungry at all, although I have been trying to eat regularly. My throat is very sore and I have had nose bleeds on and off since this all started. My whole body also aches from top to toe. My head hurts the most.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have sore throat and loss of appetite which occurs due to upper respiratory tract infection as well. I would suggest you to start with anti-inflammatory medication such as Levocetrizine along with antibiotic such as Levofloxacin. You should take Tylenol for fever as well. Do tepid sponging if fever is increasing. You should take steam inhalation and such on sugarless candies. Try to eat soft and liquid food. Visit ENT specialist once and get it examined and get blood tests done. Start treatment after proper prescription and diagnosis. Doctor may prescribe antiviral/ antibacterial medications. Avoid cold carbonated beverages. . Sip on warm water.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
