What Causes Sore Throat While Suffering From Scleroderma?
Hi I m a 57 yr old female with RA & Scleroderma currently taking methotrexate wily. Woke up yesterday morning with severe soar throat,jaw soar underneath with knots on both sides of throat above vocal cord but below jaws. Have no fever but hurts very bad to swallow,garggling doesn t help ease spearheaDing still have my tonsils,could it be them flaring up?
Lump on the throat and sore throat is reported in some patients with scleroderma. Do you have tonsils enlargement now? Keep hydrating yourself everyday by sipping liquids. Do have an ENT consultation since you have two autoimmune condition few scleroderma patients have secondary dry throat and salivary gland inflammation due to Sjogren syndrome which is a condition that affects salivary glands.
