What Causes Sore Throat With White And Red Patches After Treating Sinus Infection?

Hi, I am extremely worried that I have throat cancer. I had a viral sinus infection that statrted about 4 weeks ago, stuffy headache and scratchy throat for about 2 weeks, Dr. said it was viral, then sore throat got worse and developed white patches from taking antibiotics for acne for several months, so started on Nystation 2 weeks ago. Still have sore throat with white and red patches discoloration all over back of throat and one raised red bump. noy to a round ball, like a raised ulcer looking bump. Throat feels raw and irritated. Now for the big risk factors, I ve smoked since I was 12 and I have HPV. So from what I ve read, very posslbe I have throat cancer. If it s in the early stages what is the prognosis, how curable and is chemotherapy always used? So scared.
