What Causes Sore Throat?
I have had a severe sore throat for almost a month very painful to swallow. Swallow boths side under jaw sore to touch. When i swallow it feels like it just getting stuck. My ears hurt. I have been on teo diff antibiotics. Done nothing . Been test for strep and mono both negative but white cell count is spiked. Im lost internet can be miss leading!! any idea??

Hi,
From history it seems that there might be having bacterial infection giving this problem as there is increase in white cells.
There might be having resistant strain of bacteria, not responding to antibiotics.
You might require to go for throat swab test for organisms and sensitivity test.
After report go for treatment accordingly.
Do antiseptic water gargles.
Avoid cod drinks and junk food.
Ok and take care.
