hi, I had a sore throat that developed into a cough, and now I have lost my voice. I also have had a pain below my shoulder blade in my back. I own a restaurant and attributed it to work and lack of sleep. ive also recently lost 15 lbs without trying.
Unintentional weight loss, particularly of such a large amount , needs to be assessed.
Your doctor would need to take a history to check for all symptoms, examine you and perform blood tests and possibly imaging. It is important that you see your doctor for this assessment, it may be due to a benign cause, but this needs to be determined.
The sore throat, hoarseness and cough are likely due to an acute viral upper respiratory tract infection like the common cold. The use of over the counter cough and cold medications and throat sprays/gargles, would help.
I hope this helps
