Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have had a sore tooth for 2 weeks now. The dentist took xrays but found nothing. I am going back to the dentist for a possible root canal but I can not pinpoint the tooth because several hurt now. I also broke out in hives a couple days ago with no obvious reason. Also I have an IV of zometa every 6 months and was told I shouldn t have dental work BC of the zometa. Could the hives be related to the sore tooth?
Thanks for your query, I have gone through your query. As far as the pain in the tooth is concerned, the features you are describing are typical of pulpitis. nothing to be panic, consult a good oral physician and get it diagnosed. If the diagnosis is confirmed as pulpitis, then the tooth can be restored with root canal treatment. It is better to get yourself examined once in 6 months by consulting a dentist. I hope my answer will help you, take care.
