Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Soreness And Bleeding During Urination After Having Intercourse?
I had a hysterectomy 15 years ago. I ve been to the Dr within the last couple months and had not been sexual active. The guy did us a condom, but also used his fingers. The next day, I was sore and when I would urinate there was blood and blood clots. There was also burning. The urination was frequent for the first few days. No more blood, but it still burns a little.
The symptoms seem to be related to a urinary tract infection. I suggest to do a urine test and a urine culture to confirm the diagnosis. Meanwhile, I suggest to use anti-inflamamtory medication such as Ibuprofen 400 mg daily. I also suggest to drink a lot of liquids and especially cranberry juice.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
