What Causes Soreness And Bruising In The Toe After Injury?

my husband is a diabetic and 2 days ago he hit his second toe against a metal post. He says it is just badly bruised. I personally think it is broken. what can he do to relieve the pain? It s painful for him to walk on it. It is very discolored, dark reds and purples.

Hello,

I think there is a possible broken finger. I think he should do an x-ray of the foot.
Remember to put ice on it. Keep the limb elevated and take anti-inflammatory drugs such as advil or acetaminophen for pain and inflammation.
