What Causes Soreness And Dark Discoloration At The Bottom Of Toe?
My 9 year old son has a sore the bottom of his toe that will not heal. We assumed it was from wearing flip flops this summer but still continues to complain of it. It looks like a dried up sore but has a black spot in the middle and super sensitive to the touch. Could it be caused from going barefoot or be something in it? Not sure what I need to do.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have soreness and dark discoloration at the bottom of toe. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like hematoma due to injury , raynaud phenomenon , diabetic foot or fungal infection . I would suggest you to give proper rest to your foot , keep your foot in hot water tub with espom salt in it for 15 minutes daily , keep it clean and dry and do not wear shoe for few days . Consult podiatrist for proper examination . Doctor may prescribe antifungal , drain hematoma or may refer you to endocrinologist for diabetic condition .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
