What Causes Soreness And Pain In Throat Recovering From Viral Pharyngitis?

I was diagnosed with Viral Phyrengitis 3 days ago. I had an extrememly sore throat. It was starting to get a little better and I went and presented today. I presented for about 5 hours. Now my throat is really sore again but what s concerning is that it hurts to touch it/press it in certain places, there like a spasm happening randomly, and I can feel some new swollen lymphnodes. Do you think is has progressed or just strained from presenting all day?

Hello. Welcome to hcm.
Viral pharyngitis can later develop in to bacterial pharyngitis as your immune system will be low.
You can start by doing salt water gargles to ease the congestion and paracetamol for pain. If you develop fever or pain increases, it is advisable to meet your doctor for starting you on antibiotics if necessary
All the best
