What Causes Soreness And Small Lump On Right Side Of Knee?
Hello, I have had a right side sore knee for a while now and have been ignoring it as life s too busy to worry about a little pain, however I now have a really sore bit small lump right on the outta side of my knee from the knee cap. I also have a sore heel and slightly swollen nothing that I m worried about. Not sure if both connected, it s the knee that s giving me pain and I refuse to take pain killers as it hurts but not enough that I feel I require drugs. My stomach is also very delicate to anti inflamitries. Please help put my mind at rest ( worst case my knee will drop off ) lol x thanks jo
As per my clinical experience, the small lump on right side of the knee indicates soft tissue lesion most likely. The various possibilities among soft tissue lesion can be lipoma, sebaceous cyst or others. There can be associated mild ache with certain postural changes when overlying ligament gets stretched, but it does not harm your knee joint at all. Kindly get a primary check with your doctor for further assistance beyond this.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
