Hi..
Thanks for the query..
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain soreness in tongue that is going on on and off since 3 months with a feeling of tongue being swollen that is actually not can be due to heaviness in tongue..
It is due to a condition known as Apthous Stomatitis that causes inflammation of tongue.
It can be caused due to a number of reasons like
Allergic reaction, dry mouth, side effect of medications,
Nutritional Deficiency [Iron, Vitamin B12 and Folic acid] , hormonal changes, acid reflux,
uncontrolled diabetes etc..
You need to consult an Oral Physician or a general
dentist in this regard to get evaluated and treated..
As of now you can do warm saline gargles
Gargles with 1:1 solution of benadryl and
milk of magnesia can help..
Apply numbing gel over the sore for relief from pain especially during eating..
Take a Vitamin B complex tablet for a period of one month..
Avoid spicy, sour and acidic foods..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards..
