I have what I describe as a dislocated bone in my left thumb at the knuckle. Normal movement of fingers ie; wiggeling, is replaced by a snapping motion causing soreness if repeated. Thank you... John P. St.Pierre

If the changes are significant then your doctor may suggest referral to an orthopedic specialist for assessment. This is to determine if surgical treatment is needed.
