Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am 71 and once in a while I have this soreness right above my breasts kinda in the middle and right side. It comes on and lasts about 2 to 3 days. Its not a pain but more like a sore muscle. Its like if you lift weights and your muscles get sore. Thats the best I can explain it. Any ideas?? Thanks Georgia
Hello and welcome to HCM, Soreness above the breasts is indicative of some muscle related disorder. Muscle spasm, muscle strain or muscle pulling can lead to soreness and pain in the muscles above the breast in the chest region. I suggest you to consult an orthopedician for clinical assessment, relevant investigations and thus treatment of the pain.
Thanks and take care Dr Shailja Puri
