What Causes Soreness In Lower Back Radiating Towards Hips And Groin?

My wife has soreness radiating from lower back through the hips and upper leg into the groin.When she walks, things appear to loosen up. When she climbs steps it hurts.When sitting for a any length of time, getting up and walking is a process and soreness persists.

Soreness in lower back radiating towords hips and groin may be due to lumbago with sciatica. It is due to prssure on the nerves while coming out of intervertebrea. You go for an xrsy of lumbosacral region to diagnose the cause. If i have to treat such a patient i will advice bed rest ,reduce weight if over weight , have back support i mean belt, Tab diclofenac , peracetamol, mr, and B complex
