What Causes Soreness In The Arms After Receiving A Vaccination Shot?

Pneumococcal polysaccharide ppv23....how is this different from others? I m 65 yrs. old and this was a booster vaccine? I did have soreness at the sight and on the arm it was given....28 hours ago. Had trouble sleeping due to feeling very cold, even tho air conditioning is on in the home set at 82degrees! Had diarrhea earlier today. Normal???

* Brief Answer: vaccine may cause some side effects within 24to 48 hours after injection , nothing to worry about.
*Explanation: My opinion is that after being vaccinated , some persons develop some kind of manifestations that resembles common cold , such as generalized muscle aches, fatigue low grade fever and some local irritation or redness at the site of the injection . simple measures as good hydration , some local cold fomentations at the site of injection and simple analgesics a as paracetamol are good to overcome this.
I suggest my patients the following these type of vaccines are very safe as they are small pieces of protein and that is the safest type of vaccination.
