What Causes Soreness In The Breast After Stopping Femilon?
Hi I have been on Femilon since a year now as that was the medication prescribed for treating my PCOS along with Metformin.I stopped Femilon since the end of my last cycle (March) and since few days I have been facing severe breast soreness.Could this be a side effect of having stopped the Femilon tablets?

General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi, Thanks for the query. I understand it. Stopping of Femilon is not known to cause sore breasts. It could be- - Spontaneous ovulation triggered by withdrawal of pills -followed by conception ( can be tested by HPT after 8 days delay in period, - It can be due to hormonal disturbance caused by - not being affected by Femilon course. * You need Home pregnancy test to differentiate. In case there is no pregnancy- go for further treatment of PCOD. Consult the treating doctor. Thanks.
